Digestive Disease Research Center (DDRC)
History
Due to the frequency of gastrointestinal diseases such as gastrointestinal cancer and Helicobacter pylori infection, and so on, in Ardabil province, the Digestive Disease Research Center (DDRC) of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences with the aim of conducting basic and applied research in the field of gastrointestinal diseases with community needs, has been begun to operating since the beginning of 2016.
DDRC is a group of experts in gastroenterology who act on the control of these diseases, through the expansion of knowledge, epidemiology, diagnostic and treatment methods and identification of risk factors, especially in the field of gastric and esophageal cancers.
Goals and vision
- Community health promotion, especially in the field of gastrointestinal diseases
- Improving clinical knowledge and skills in the field of prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers
- Improving the quality of life in patients with gastrointestinal diseases
- Coordination between departments in relevant organizations
- Strengthening team's spirit
- Building scientific and practical capacity in the center
- Establishing scientific communication with domestic and/or international stakeholders
- Expanding Scientific Knowledge Frontiers
- Improving the qualitative and quantitative level of research
- Successful dissemination of the research findings
- Providing the possibility of conducting field research
- Participation in the training of specialized personnel (Master and PhD by Research)
- Promoting the scientific position of the center at the national and international levels
